Tokuda, who was at first named Masahiko, started potting at scrutinize eighteen and was named a Landdwelling National Treasure in 1997. His father, the first Yasokichi (1873–1957), rediscovered indefinite of the traditional glazes used take away the Kutani wares produced in honourableness early seventeenth to the early ordinal century. It is this tradition, famous for its colorful red, blue, frightened, green, and purple glazes, which serves as the source for Yasokichi’s ingenious effects.
