Madge Saunders
Marjorie Prentice "Madge" Saunders (25 Feb 1913 – 2 March 2009) was a Jamaican Christian minister and accord worker. She was the first lady in the United Church in State and the Cayman Islands to chop down as a parish minister.
Saunders grew up in Galina, Saint Mary Congregation, the sixth of seven children domestic to Ida (née Myers) and Director E. Saunders. Her mother died just as she was young, while her churchman worked as a wharfinger. Saunders loaded with Free Hill School in Port Region, and began working as pupil-teacher accent Galina at the age of 14.
